Justin Bieberin Sorry on osoittautunut yllättävänkin vahvaksi ja nyt se lopulta ehti napata kärkipaikan Hot 100 -listalta, kun Adelen Hello hiipui. Tätä ennen Sorry oli viettänyt viikkokausia kakkosena. Bieberille se on toinen ykkönen viimevuotisen What Do You Meanin jatkeeksi.
Twenty One Pilotsin Stressed Out porhalsi jo viidenneksi. Top tenin ulkopuolella The Chainsmokersin Roses eteni 13:nneksi, joka on heidän paras noteerauksensa. Post Malonen White Iverson paransi pykälän 14:nneksi ja Bryson Tillerin Don't nousi 21–17.
Jonas Brothersin jäsenenä, ja myös sooloartistina hieman, menestynyt Joe Jonas palasi top 40 -tasolle uuden DNCE-yhtyeensä myötä. Tarttuva Cake by the Ocean nousi 41–26. Rachel Platten sai toisen top 40 -hittinsä, kun Stand by You loikkasi 50–39. Sen takana viimeisen top 40 -paikan nappasi Yo Gottin Down in the DM. Hän on levyttänyt jo pitkään, mutta pääsi vasta nyt ensimmäistä kertaa noin ylös.
Taylor Swiftin Out of the Woods palasi 46:nneksi. Se kävi digijulkaisuna 18:ntena toissa vuonna. Saa nähdä, auttaako varsinainen singlekohtelu ylemmäs.

Muuten listalla ei tapahtunut mitään erityisen merkittävää. Toiseksi korkein uutuus on aikoinaan top teniinkin päässeen kristillisen Passion-kollektiviin Salvation's Tide Is Rising sijalla 19.

Justin Bieberin Love Yourself merkkautti kuudennen ykkösviikkonsa, mutta listaviikon suurin tähti on tietenkin sunnuntaina edesmennyt David Bowie. Hänellä on peräti viisi singleä top 40:ssä ja vielä kuusi lisää sijoilla 41–75. Korkeimmalle niistä ylsi Heroes, joka merkkautti jopa oman parhaansa palatessaan 12:nneksi. Tätä ennen se oli yltänyt 24:nneksi vuonna 1977.
Shawn Mendesin Stitches nousi jo kakkoseksi ja on tätä luettaessa myös saarivaltakunnan iTunes-listan kärjessä. Pystyykö se jopa syrjäyttämään Love Yourselfin? One Directionin History nousi pykälän kuudenneksi ja 99 Soulsin The Girl Is Mine yhdeksänneksi. Snakehipsin All My Friends liiti 11:nneksi ja Major Lazerin Light It Up eteni 13:nneksi.
Craig Davidin paluu parrasvaloihin on tosiasia: When the Bassline Drops loikkasi 36–15. David Guettan ja Sian Bang My Head jäi viime viikolla mainitsematta, mutta otetaan nyt vahinko takaisin, kun se hyppäsi 30–21. Myös Robin Schulzin Sugar nappasi oman parhaansa (27).
Top 40:n hännillä on myös pari reipasta nousijaa: Little Mixin ja Jason Derulon Secret Love Song (66–34) sekä norjalaisen Kygon jo neljäs top 40 -hitti Stay (50–40).

Bowien kuolema näkyy albumilistalla vielä selvemmin, mutta ykkösenä debytoiva Blackstar olisi napannut paalun myös ilman hänen menehtymistään. Se on Bowien kymmenes ykkönen ja studioalbumien osalta toinen putkeen, sillä The Next Day (2014) ylsi myös kärkeen. Blackstaria ostettiin 150 000 kpl, mikä tekee siitä heittämällä erään hänen myydyimmistä studiolevyistään.
Bowien toissavuotinen Nothing Has Changed -kokoelma palasi viidenneksi, joka on sen korkein sijoitus. Tätä ennen se oli päässyt yhdeksänneksi.
